Presentation is half the battle and with this Lapis Bard Pen Chest, you can finally give your collection of fine writing instruments the exquisite frame it deserves. The beautiful chest is made by wrapping full-grain semi-vegetable tanned leather over a wooden frame. The corners have rounded edges that help protect the leather from peeling off or scratches. The sublime dual-tone hue is created by hand-painting the leather in a process inspired by Da Vinci’s ‘Sfumato’ technique. The see-through plexiglass window on top provides a clear view of the treasures within. Eagle-eyed Lapis Bard aficionados will note the brand’s presence in the shape of the arc on the top lid, which is inspired by the lyre logo, and in the circular black and gold emblem on the closure. The rich coloring, gold-plated trim, and smooth texture of the premium leather give the piece a truly luxurious look and feel. The Hemmingway is secured with a snap button closure and rests on a navy microfiber layer that protects the chest.

The chest contains a removable tray lined in soft and resilient microsuede, which keeps the pens dust-free and protects them from scratches. The tray has ten individual pen slots, and the two on the right are wider to house pens of larger diameter (up to 20 mm). The space below the pen tray is designed to store cleaning kits, leaflets, cartridges, and various nibs.
